I have two cards to share with you today, one using current product, and one using (mostly) retired product.
This card is a CASE I saw on Pinterest somewhere. It uses some of my favourite retired dies (the dress forms) and the flower from a past embellishment kit. There's soon going to be more retiring products, we'll know on April 21st what is retiring to make room for new things in the new catalogue coming out in June. But for now, we do know we'll be losing the 2013-2015 In Colors, which were some of my favourites.
The good news is though that you can still get them right now. So if you're particularly attached to Baked Brown Sugar, Coastal Cabana, Crisp Cantaloupe, Pistachio Pudding, or Strawberry Slush you can still get all the paper, ink, twine, and more you need! And if you place your order online by this Friday using the hostess code "4BDAND6V", you'll get free shipping and a gift from me! In Colors always sell out well before they actually retire, so get your order in NOW!
My next card is using mostly current products (though I did sneak in some of my favourite retired ribbon). I've been having so much fun making cards for sale at markets and a local store that I'd forgotten I'd ordered the Wetlands stamp set and never inked it up! I finally made it a challenge for myself to use it, and CASEd this card. It just so happened that I needed a stack of thank you cards anyway, so I made a bunch of them!
I love the masking tape technique I used for the back ground. Each card came out slightly differently and it's a super simple way to add texture to an image. I also almost always stamp on the envelope and the inside of my cards to give them that finish, polished, look and feel.
As always, you can click to order current products online, subscribe to My Paper Pumpkin, become a demonstrator, and contact me.
